The International Seafarers’ Union (ISU)’s mission is to protect the interest of seafarers, regardless of nationality, race, gender, language, religion, political or other beliefs, material status, education, disability or any other personal circumstance.
The aim is to act for the benefit of seafarers by negotiating on pay and working conditions. We encourage collective bargaining in order to protect seafarers’ interest by implementing Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). We protect and advocate the interests of seafarers internationally, including protection of health and assistance in protection of rights which are arising from employment agreement and other rights.
